Start with a usable sample brief

A sample request is more useful when it states the product, target market, benchmark, pack format, quantity and non-negotiable requirements. AXTIMES coordinates the discussion with suitable factories; we do not treat a photograph or a general request for a “better” candy as final approval criteria.

• Identify flavour, texture, shape, coating and target weight.
• Mark requirements as must have or preferences.
• Record the factory, SKU, sample type and revision.

Select the right sample stage

We help the buyer and factory identify what each sample is intended to prove. This avoids approving a stock item as though it were the final private-label product.

Coordinate shipping and identity

Samples can arrive affected by heat, compression, moisture or transit time. Before sensory review, AXTIMES asks for sample labels, photographs and dispatch details so the buyer can distinguish a transit issue from a product issue. A retained sealed reference and a simple sample register reduce confusion when several factories or revisions are involved.

Review with a repeatable scorecard

Taste is important, but it is not the only decision. We can coordinate a buyer review covering:

• appearance, size, weight and coating;
• aroma, flavour, sweetness, sourness and aftertaste;
• firmness, chew, stickiness, filling and breakage;
• pack condition, seal and label concept.

A benchmark is broken into attributes rather than used as an unsupported instruction to copy it. Critical gates, such as an excluded ingredient or leaking centre, remain pass/fail even if an overall score is strong.

Iterate without losing decisions

For each revision, acceptable attributes should be frozen and requested changes should be specific. AXTIMES maintains the China-side communication between the buyer and factory, records the feedback and requests the next sample against the agreed direction. We do not guarantee that a factory can reproduce every benchmark attribute; feasibility is established through the development process.

Approve a controlled reference

Approval should connect a sample code, date, specification version and any open items. The approved reference then informs production, packaging checks and inspection.
